Amit Hakim founded AAKINS Pty Ltd in 2012 by realising the existing Information Technology (IT) gap in the O&G industry specially within SME’s and drilling contractor companies. The lack of the exposure leading to poor operation strategies and management decisions even if the companies are very strong in their technical knowledge.

He holds Masters in Engineering Management from QUT and has over 16 years of experience in engineering and O&G sector. He has held various positions within the industry and worked with various organisations ranging from the drilling contractor to O&G companies.

He has a keen interest is in strategic management and his major focus is the hidden costs within the in organisation. He has developed various processes and conceptualised IT products enabling cost saving and better usage of time.

I lead AAKINS’s product and design teams and oversee the company’s products across desktop, web and mobile.

What excites me most at AAKINS is its belief that technology is a true differentiator as far as adding value to the Client is concerned. Our penchant to constantly adopt niche technology has helped us to develop multiple state of the art products that have helped us to manage Client Operations efficiently. We deploy great processes and technology to improve productivity, thus lowering costs. When I see how our solutions have made life simpler for numerous stakeholders, that’s a great satisfaction.
